Different kinds of piston pins are used for completing the connection between a piston and rod. Some of them are full floating in both a piston and connecting rod; some are journalled in piston bosses.
In recent years, manufacturing units have made attempts of using a ceramic piston pin instead of steel made pin in order to decrease the friction losses, weight, and other cons of the engine. They discover an issue while trying this job and it was excess of wear in snap rings when they came contact with the ceramic piston pin. This further affects the unit and damages the cylinder liner. Engineers may solve this issue by using the piston pin of which end surfaces in contact with the smooth finished snap rings. This is a costly affair and many engineers look for alternative ways to solve this issue. They prepare snap rings with costly metal that offers excellent wear resistance. It is still costly, but this method seems more effective and durable in nature. About mechanism of lubrication A lubrication mechanism includes- 1. Internal combustion engine
2. Piston includes a scraper ring groove for retrieving in a scraper ring 3. Oil inlet hole contains an inlet end located at an ICP of piston. *ICP- inner circumferential periphery. 4. Second inlet hole is arranged in a way it makes 90 degrees angle 5. A lot more stuff that you can explore online. Contact liner sleeves manufacturers to learn about this mechanism. Get professional tips and guidelines if you want to perform lubrication for your piston pins. It is suggested to include at least one professional when you perform this task.

Machines and parts do wear when you use them continuously. Cylinder sleeves manufacturers bring various reasons to explain why wear and tear of the machine and parts take place and how can one prevent it. There are some maintenance and routine checks important to ensure that the machines work for more hours. This article explains all the things that you should know. Read it to explore the reasons behind degradation of your machine.
There are generally four reasons that cause wear in machines and the components:
Damage due to friction Whenever two surfaces slide over each other, friction happens that leads to wearing of these surfaces. Liner sleeves surfaces are worn out due to friction between the piston rings and cylinder liner. The frictional wear relies on several factors like movement speed between the surfaces, temperature, pressure, maintenance, material involved, lubrication, and combustion efficiency. Damage due to corrosion Machines are made of metals and metals do corrode. The wear happens due to corrosion is caused by the burning of heavy fuel oil inside the combustion space. The heavy oil used by the machine has high sulphur content. During combustion process, acids are developed within the space which should be neutralized by cylinder oil as it is alkaline in nature. Corrosion due to sulphur will be high because moisture is present in the fuel, which condensate in the air. The wear happens near the quills and provides a characteristic of the clover leaf shape to the wear pattern. This is known as clover leafing. Damage caused by abrasion When hard particles are present and form during combustion process, abrasion occurs. The ash and the catalytic fines in the fuel formed during the combustion result in abrasion and cause wear. Damage caused by Scuffing or adhesion This is a type of local welding between the piston rings and the liner surface. When the piston moves inside the liner, welding breaks and leads to the formation of abrasive material. What can be done to avoid wearing of liner sleeves? Cylinder can be protected against wear and tear by avoiding any ingress of water within the liner. You can treat the fuel oil and prevent moisture incoming. Maintaining the correct feed rate and cylinder oil grade will also help. For any doubts or assistance, contact cylinder sleeves manufacturers of your town.

Auto liners are the crucial part of the engine. Sometimes the iron and the aluminum cast of the engine parts gets damaged with the regular use of the machine. These auto liners exporters help in maintaining the machine from excessive wear and tear. It also protects the machine from cracks and damage.
There are two types of auto liners: Dry-auto liners: Dry liners are basically used for the protection of the piston. These are designed such that it must be able to stand with the temperature and can protect the machine from impurities. Wet auto liners: Wet liners are used to disperse the heat and impurities from the machine. The auto liners manufacturing process First of all the raw material is prepared which consists of Pig Iron, Iron Scrap, and the cast Material. During this process different types of the proportion of the components are used for the preparation of different types of raw material, the composition depends upon the use of the vehicle. After the raw material is prepared by the composition of different components, then this conglomerate is melted in an induction furnace which is constantly being heated under the controlled electric supply for a specific period of time. In this process, melting temperature is attained up to 1400-2000 °c Then a small quantity is tested in a cup to check the composition of the of the material. Then the amount and quality of carbon, manganese, and silicon are checked with the help of an in-house metal analyzer. After this, the other impurities such as sulphur, phosphorus are also brought to the desired level. Then some metals like nickel, molybdenum, chromium, copper are added in a specific quantity depending upon the strength, hardness, and surface of the product. After this, the melted metal is taken into ladles and then it is poured into a rotating machine. After this, an inspection method is done in which the specially designed jigs and fixtures are manufactured to behave or to act as a GO, NO GO gauge during the manufacturing process. After this roughing machine, each piece is inspected to check whether there is any casting defect or any crack and to check the thickness of the material. The hardness and the thickness of each piece are checked with the help of Brinell hardness tester. Then at the end, these manufactured pieces are dipped into a special anti-corrosion agent to increase the life of the product. This is how the Auto liner exporters process is completed.

Automobile products are incomplete without engine and every engine block requires cylinder liners components. A cylinder liner is a removable part that is cylindrical in shape and inserted into engine block. It is a hollow cylindrical shell that is used as the enclosure in which the combustion happens. By using hollow term, it doesn’t mean that it is weak in strength. Cylinder liner are designed to withstand the high level of hoop stress induced in it.
Manufacturers of cylinder liner generally use cast iron material for its lubricating properties. Also, cast iron is porous in nature and this helps in minimizing the risk of seizure of the piston during its operation. Still, it is not a robust material and this is why manufacturers use it with combination of chromium, nickel or copper in small quantity. Casting is done by centrifugal method and sand casting technique. The internal surface is chrome plated and smoother in finish. This smoothness doesn’t allow oil to spread out properly and thus, it affects liner lubrication. Cylinder liners are among the components that can be easily replaced when worn out. The cylinder liners are made from close grained cast iron. In four stroke engines, they are simple cylinder shapes flanged at the top to secure and provide location to them in the cylinder blocks or to the water jacket. This flange, a joint ring made of copper or heat resistant rubber is placed. The lower end has rubber rings that seal the surface and don’t allow water to enter. Other use of rubber rings is to prevent oil from the crankcase entering the water jackets. Configuration of cylinder liner and frame

In wet cylinder liners, the water is in direct contact with the liner’s outer surface. In dry cylinder liners, the water is in indirect contact with outer surface of the liner. When the piston rings are renewed the glaze over the liner bore need to be broken by honing. This offers the surface suitable for rapid running-in. In order to offer a robust wearing surface, the bore of liners is subjected to the nitriding process. Cylinder liners are no doubt the desirable components for auto engines. Manufacturers making auto parts are also providing cylinder liners to their global clients.

Cylinder liners are the interior metal components installed in the piston body that protects it from wear and tear when motor operates. Manufacturers supply three types of cylinder liners- wet cylinder liners, dry cylinder liners, and finned cylinder liners. Every liner is intended with a same purpose, i.e. to protect the piston from heat and impurities using bit distinct ways. In general, you can find cylinder liners deal expensive as these products are precisely made and primarily purchased from specialty shops.
Let’s discuss each of the design in brief- Wet cylinder liners Wet cylinder liners are used for protecting pistons in a way that is different from dry ones. However, manufacturers use same materials to prepare wet and dry cylinder liners. Wet ones come in direct contact with the engine coolant. Sometimes these liners are fitted with small openings to promote dispersion of heat and impurities. These types of liners are also named as water-jacket liners. In case the liner doesn’t have any cooling jacket, one is formed by the liner by interacting with the jacket present in the cylinder block. Finned cylinder liner Finned cylinder liners are made of same type of heat and debris-resistant metal. Finned type liner is intended by professionals specifically for air-cooled engine. It is similar to dry liner in operations. But these liners are fitted with tiny fins that let the in flowing air to draw with more force around the cylinder to promote cooling. Dry cylinder liners Dry type cylinder liners are among basic protectors of piston. They have power to withstand higher temperatures and protect the piston against debris or impurities. These are thinner than the wet liners. Moreover, dry cylinder liners do not interact with the engine coolant and offer a close fit with the jacket inside the cylinder block. You can get all of these Cylinder liner India manufacturers in the market. There are many suppliers having online store, you can visit them and place your order and get delivery at your location.
